About

Hello,
My name is Ron Chamberlain. I have been involved in Internet markting since 1998 and I discovered blogging in the last couple of years. I was so excited about the aspects of blogging that I soon spread myself way too thin trying to maintain over 25 blogs and I turned to black hat techniques to fill most of my blogs with content, which was a huge mistake and neglected most of my other blogs (like this one).
I am deleting many of my ’so called blogs’ and I am concentrating my efforts on just a few of them I feel are the good ones. I hope you can find something useful in my ramblings here.
This blog is about Wordpress and it’s easy to use interface that makes blogging as simple as 1 2 3. Hence, the name Wordpress123.com.
Why Wordpress?
Wordpress, in my opinion (and over a million blogs on wordpress.com alone) is the most versatile blogging option available. It is free, you have total control over it provided you host it on your own domain, and the developers are continually upgrading it and improving it.
Plugins:
Programmers aross the globe are constantly creating very useful plugins for wordpress that makes a bloggers life extremely easy… from formatting text to marketing your blog. Most of these are free to download and implement into your blog, some are labeled as “Premium” plugins and are available for a small fee and many are created under the GNU licensing allowing users to improve and build upon the plugins’ useabilty and features.
Themes:
Six months ago the WordPress Theme Viewer reported over 4 million WordPress Theme downloads. These themes are free to use and the variety and quality of many (read that hundreds if not thousands by now) of them is amazing!
Ease of use:
With many web hosting companies having the famous ‘one click install’ of wordpress available to their clients, installation of a wordpress blog takes just a few minutes and a blogger can literally have a new website live in only a few minutes time with a well designed SEO layout (theme), many features (plugins and widgets), even content provided you have an article ready and finally even some traffic ~ thanks to your RSS feed and Web 2.0 social bookmarking plugins. I have had people reading on one of my blog posts within a few minutes on a blog with little traffic, after making the post due to a few plugins’ integration with social bookmarking and ping sites.
I hope you enjoy your visit here.
Ron
